   Upcoming GME Training


"GME Training: Focusing on Amendment Process"
This workshop is intended to provide a hands-on training of the web-based Grants Management Enterprise (GME) system to individuals from Local Education Agencies (LEAs). The presentation will mainly focus on Amendment process along with approved completion report. It will also go over current Business Rules related to ADE Grants Management Amendment process. Please note that GME only updates this website bi-weekly at this time. If you are interested in your county's current approved indirect cost rate, please contact the county directly or open any of your FY 2008 project summary for County's ICR.

   Multi-Year Fund CarryOver Matrix

Funds remaining from a previous year's allocation, that, if the program allows, may be amended into the current year project's budget. The project into which funds are amended must be appropriate, for the same purpose, and approved by the ADE program office administering the grant.    Maximum Allowable Indirect Cost for Grants/ Projects Matrix

Indirect Cost – Those expenses that incur for the joint benefit of more than one project and cannot be readily and specifically identified with a particular project without effort disproportionate to the results achieved. Indirect Cost can ONLY be applied to federally funded projects, however, may be restricted or disallowed on some federal grants. The maximum amount payable is calculated by multiplying the Approved Restricted Rate times the Actual Subtotal Expenditures.    Capital Outlay Justification Page

FY 2008 Chart of Account Matrix Update


"FY 2008 Chart of Accounts Matrix" is to be used as a guideline, with final responsibility for coding resting with the applicant/subrecipient. Contact the appropriate Program Area administering the grant for further information.

General Statement of Assurance


"FY 2008 General Statement of Assurance" was due by May 31st, 2007. If you would like to add or remove GSA signers, please visit General Statement of Assurance link.

General Statement of Assurance website also includes information for a New LEA or existing LEA's data change such as Name change, warrant address change. You can also find a New W-9 form at this site. Please use the new form effective immediately. The previous form issued in May of this year will continue to be accepted until November 19, 2007.


   Qualified Zone Academy Bonds (QZAB)

The Arizona Department of Education still has Quality Zone Academy Bonds available. (The 2004 allocation expires in December of 2006 and the 2005 allocation expires in December of 2007) Please click here to view for additional information.

The Jordon Fundamentals Grant Program

The Jordon Fundamentals Grants are given to support teachers and provide access to additional resources. The Fundamentals grant program was born out of Michael Jordan's firm belief that education is a key to opportunity and helps build commitment to core values which foster personal excellence and achievement.

Innovation Grants:
Grants totaling $2500 will be awarded to individual teachers for projects that will impact classroom innovation and improve instruction.

Inspiration Grants:
Winners of the Innovation Grants may apply for an Inspiration Grant. Grants up to $10,000 will be awarded to teams of teachers in support of scaling up implementation of approaches developed with Innovation Grants.

US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) National Clean Diesel Campaign (NCDC)

(Washington, D.C. - April 2, 2008) EPA is announcing the availability of almost $50 million in grant funding to establish clean diesel projects aimed at reducing emissions from the nation's existing fleet of diesel engines.

The unprecedented sum, which was authorized by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and funded for the first time this fiscal year, will be administered by EPA's National Clean Diesel Campaign (NCDC) and its network of seven collaboratives, made up of EPA regional offices and public and private sector partners.
