WebinHours – Supporting Arizona’s Common Core Implementation
Join the K – 12 Academic Standards group, as they present a series of free 'WebinHour' trainings to introduce you to a variety of topics. The WebinHours will support the implementation of Arizona’s Common Core Standards. Arizona Department of Education staff will be conducting the webinars. All you need is a computer with internet access to participate in the WebinHour.
This one hour webinar is intended for Teachers, Trainers, Coaches, Specialists and provides a brief history and connection between Close Reading and the Arizona Common Core Standards.
Participants will be introduced to the concept of productive struggle, and the Close Reading Routine for teachers and students. There will be a short simulation of a close reading lesson.
It is highly recommended that participants view this training with a partner to facilitate discussion.
