CACFP Training for New Staff
An interactive training class designed to provide an overview of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The training targets newly hired directors or administrative staff of child care centers, preschools, head starts, emergency shelters and adult day care centers. Participants in this class will learn; eligibility criteria, recordkeeping requirements, meal pattern for infants and children, how to create healthy menus, and what to expect during the review process. If you will ONLY be operating an At-Risk Afterschool Care Program (e.g. school district, non-profit sponsoring organization), you should register for the program specific at-risk quarterly training, or you may call 602-542-8700 for more information. Attendance at this training class does not replace annual CACFP training requirements. All sponsors are required to train CACFP staff on an annual basis in accordance with 7 CRF 226.15(e)(12).
