TBI 303: Contemporary Issues in Brain Injury and Neurological Impairments

This 4-part workshop will include three 90-minute presentations from agency professionals who will focus on (1) Assessing Executive Functioning, (2) TBI Youth. Depression and Suicide, (3) Secondary Transition: From School to Adult Services within Vocational Rehabilitation. In addition, this workshop will offer a 2-hour session for Assistive Technology after Cognitive Impairment complete with hands-on activities. The format for the sessions will be short-format lecture with open discussion, ongoing question and answer sessions throughout, and an interactive lab featuring brain-injury specific AT materials, software, and equipment. All materials for this training will be provided. There is NO COST for the workshop; however, you must be pre-registered and you must have taken TBI 101 prior to this workshop.

This workshop will run from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm with registration at 7:45 am. There will be two, 15-minute breaks and a one-hour break for lunch, on your own.

Pre-registration for the presentation will close 72 hrs prior to the workshop date, however a waiting list will be held in case of cancellations. Enrollment of a minimum of 20 participants is required for the training to take place.
