2014-15 Regional Collaboration Meeting on Autism Spectrum Disorders
This meeting will focus on sharing the skills and practices that are important for improving outcomes for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. This one day meeting will include time for professional development, building shared understanding, and collaboration to build the capacity of districts and regions to support families and individuals with autism.

The meeting will include:
• Specific and timely information obtained during state and national presentations designed to develop the capacity of all education service providers
o DSM V, Paraprofessional Staff Training, Eligibility Determination, ABA news
• Team practice sessions to refine behavior analysis and behavior plan development skills
o Hypothesis Behavior Pathway and behavior challenges in the classroom
• Next Generation Autism PD—Need input on:
o Needs Assessments, Demonstration Site Definition, Web Resources

Evaluating Lessons & Units Aligned to AZCCRS Mathematics & ELA
This full-day workshop will provide educators with an opportunity to learn about and apply the EQuIP Rubric to instructional materials to see how well they align to the AZCCRS. This useful tool can be used both to evaluate current instructional materials used at a building or district, and provide guidance in developing new material. The EQuIP Rubric (Educators Evaluating Quality Instructional Products) for both ELA and Math are criterion-based rubrics and review processes to evaluate the quality of lessons and units intended to address Arizona’s College and Career Ready Standards for ELA/Literacy and Mathematics. Teachers, Coaches, Administrators, grades K-12 are welcome.

Participants will be eligible for 6.0 hours of Professional Development credit.

Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m.
Workshop begins at 8:30 a.m.

Registration Cost is $20 per person.

No food or beverages will be provided, so please plan accordingly.
There are numerous eating establishments within walking distance with a wide variety of menu items.


PO numbers are not required in order to complete registration.

Please note: All conference attendees are required to park in the visitor side of the 3300 Tower parking garage in spaces marked Visitor, and in open non-reserved spaces. Please bring your parking ticket with you to your conference for validation; it will be the responsibility of the attendee to pay the parking fee if their ticket is not validated.

Please inform your Business Office of your registration promptly. A confirmation number may be required on the day of the event and should also be included on your purchase order. A registration fee is charged for all registrants, including those who do NOT SHOW and have not canceled in writing within 10 business days prior to event start date. All cancellations and or replacements must be received in writing within 10 business days prior to the first day of the workshop for a refund. *Exceptions may be made for emergency situations only up to the first day of event start date.

Language and Literacy Standard Module Training
Language and Literacy Standard Module Training Daily exposure to verbal and written language provides young children with the opportunities to begin acquiring a basic understanding of the concepts of literacy and its functions. Through play, children learn to create meaning from language and communicate with others using verbal and non-verbal language, pictures, symbols, and print. In this six hour session, participants will actively explore the Language and Literacy Standard.
