Introduction to the Infant Toddler Developmental Guidelines
The Introduction to the Infant and Toddler Developmental Guidelines is an overview of the document and tips for navigating through it. The Infant and Toddler Developmental Guidelines have been developed to provide a framework for all caregivers who may care for children ages birth to 36 months. The Guidelines are meant to build awareness of the unique developmental characteristics of infants and toddlers, increase awareness of quality infant and toddler caregiving and education, and to guide intentional planning for quality learning experiences for children in this age range.

Investigating Number Sense to Develop Conceptual Understanding, PreK, K, & 1st Grade
This mathematics professional development opportunity is designed to assist educators in developing a deeper understanding of how young children learn mathematics. This workshop will focus on the Learning Trajectory stages that support and develop conceptual understanding through instructional tasks, mathematical practices, problem solving, and the Arizona College and Career Ready Standards (ACCRS).

Participants will be eligible for 6.5 hours of Professional Development credit.

Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Check-in and breakfast begin at 8:00 a.m.
Workshop: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Registration Cost is $50 per person.

Cancellation must be received in writing a minimum of 10 business days prior to the event. After that date, you will be responsible for payment in full.

Please note: All conference attendees are required to park in the visitor side of the 3300 Tower parking garage in spaces marked Visitor, and in open non-reserved spaces. Please bring your parking ticket with you to your conference for validation; it will be the responsibility of the attendee to pay the parking fee if their ticket is not validated.

Please inform your Business Office of your registration promptly. A confirmation number may be required on the day of the event and should also be included on your purchase order. A registration fee is charged for all registrants, including those who do NOT SHOW and have not canceled in writing within 10 business days prior to event start date. All cancellations and or replacements must be received in writing within 10 business days prior to the first day of the workshop for a refund. *Exceptions may be made for emergency situations only up to the first day of event start date.

Language and Literacy Standard Module Training
Language and Literacy Standard Module Training Daily exposure to verbal and written language provides young children with the opportunities to begin acquiring a basic understanding of the concepts of literacy and its functions. Through play, children learn to create meaning from language and communicate with others using verbal and non-verbal language, pictures, symbols, and print. In this six hour session, participants will actively explore the Language and Literacy Standard.

Webinar: Integrating Social Studies Primary Sources 9-12
This webinar is an overview of incorporating primary sources into your daily lessons. The first 30 minutes will be a review of text complexity. The next hour will focus on incorporating primary sources into bell-work, peer-peer activities and questioning.

This webinar is for the 9-12 grade-level bands.

Participant is eligible for 1.5 hours of Professional Development credit.

Writing from Sources for ELL Students Grades 3-12: Phase II
Writing from Sources explains why we need to emphasize the use of evidence to inform or make logical arguments. While students are familiar with the personal narrative, using evidence to support claims or opinions may be a challenge. Showing students how to do this effectively is also a challenge. This workshop explains this important instructional shift and will focus on: Effective use of evidence/Writing from Sources Using argument in the SEI/ELA classroom with ELLs
