Middle School Math Pilot Project
To help offset the ’09 State Budget deficit, the funding for the project was reverted to the general fund. Sec.58 of SB 2211[the state budget bill for education] states "Of the $3,000.000 appropriated from the state general fund to the department of education e-learning pilot program by laws 2006, chapter 375.section 6, as not withstood by laws 2007.chapter 264, section 14, any unexpended amounts revert to the state general fund on the effective date of this act."
Thus, the Middle School Math Pilot project will not take place. Thank you for your interest! Hopefully there will be more projects like this in the future.
Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT, Title IID)
On April 6, 2007, the Arizona Department of Education released the Request for Proposals (RFP) for EETT Discretionary grants. For the detailed RFP, all application documents and the list of eligible LEAs Click Here.
Big Changes: “Connecting the Dots.” This new grant RFP is trying to connect the dots in Arizona by utilizing existing resources and services (Statewide Instructional Technology Project, School Improvement plans, other Title funds, IDEAL/ASSET, etc) but also connecting the dots with what we know has been effective in showing that Ed Tech can increase student achievement and teacher effectiveness (eMints, Gen-Y, peer coaching, etc.).
Workshops will be offered at four sites to provide details on this competition. To register for a workshop go to the Calendar of Events.
