| MISSION STATEMENT | | The mission of Discovery Plus Academy is to provide parents and students in our rural area an academic choice of instruction. We want them to have access to extraordinary education. All students, from special needs through gifted, deserve to feel success. Through networking and collaboration, the learner should come first. No politics or petty differences should stand in the way of strategy to reform rigid rules which restrict programs striving to serve the best interest of the learner.

We are limiting classroom size to 18 students per certified teacher. We will rely on a phonics program for reading, and multi materials to fit the learner. We offer a strong cultural arts program in the afternoon. Also offered are lessons in Spanish and Home Ec. Our curriculum will be project-based. Parents will be strongly encouraged to be involved in every aspect of the program. |
